Left-Wing Teacher OUT After Disgusting Rant Following Charl…

A teacher with the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District resigned while in the midst of a formal termination process related to social media comments she made about the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. District officials confirmed that Jennifer Courtemanche submitted her resignation on Nov. 24, several months after the school board initiated proceedings to terminate her contract. Her posts drew widespread attention after Texas Rep. Briscoe Cain shared screenshots questioning whether Kirk’s death was connected to his own actions. Courtemanche’s remarks circulated widely online and sparked public outrage.

Courtemanche, an English language arts teacher who previously listed Lee High School in Baytown as her employer, had described herself on social media as a “child of God” and a “work in progress.” Although she had initially indicated she would not resign voluntarily and retained legal counsel, she stepped down before the process concluded. Under Texas law, teachers facing termination are entitled to a multi-step procedure, including the option of a hearing before an independent examiner appointed by the Texas Education Agency. District officials said the process would have continued had she not resigned.

The controversy unfolded amid heightened scrutiny of educators’ online conduct following Kirk’s killing. The Texas Education Agency reported receiving more than 350 complaints about teachers’ social media comments related to the incident. Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath cautioned school leaders that while free speech is protected, it does not include promoting or celebrating violence. Separately, Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, publicly condemned individuals she said were exploiting her husband’s death and attacking her family, urging critics to leave her children and loved ones out of the controversy.
