CHAOS UNFOLDS – Nigerians KIDNAP Federal Agent To Evade…

A Nigerian national and a Twin Cities woman are facing federal assault charges following an incident this week that was initially reported as a kidnapping involving a Homeland Security agent. According to Alpha News, Plymouth and New Hope police responded to reports that a federal agent had been taken against his will and was inside a moving vehicle. Federal charges were filed late Thursday against Oluwadamilola Ogooluwa Bamigboye, 24, and Rekeya Lionesha Lee Frazier, 23. Police reports obtained by Crime Watch state that officers from both departments tracked the suspect vehicle as it traveled from Plymouth to New Hope. Multiple 911 calls were made during the pursuit, including one from another federal agent following the vehicle and one from the driver, who said they were heading to a police department.

The vehicle was eventually stopped in front of the New Hope Police Department, where the agent was safely recovered. One suspect fled on foot near a nearby Hy-Vee store but was later detained, along with the woman who remained in the vehicle. According to an FBI affidavit cited by KTSP, Homeland Security Investigations agents had been conducting surveillance in an apartment parking lot in Plymouth while searching for Bamigboye, who is accused of overstaying a student visa. Three agents—two in plain clothes and one wearing a vest marked “POLICE” and “HSI”—approached him after he exited a Jeep SUV driven by Frazier, displaying badges and identifying themselves as law enforcement.

Court filings allege that after Bamigboye questioned the agents’ authority and they mentioned his immigration status, he told Frazier to drive away. One agent entered the vehicle to stop it, while another attempted to remove Bamigboye. Investigators say Bamigboye pushed an agent as the Jeep began moving, trapping another agent inside. Despite repeated commands to stop and the agent drawing his weapon, Frazier continued driving, saying she was taking him to a police station. Bamigboye later denied seeing badges but admitted pushing the agent, citing PTSD from a prior kidnapping. Both suspects remain in custody at the Sherburne County Jail.
