BREAKING: Co-Host of ‘The Five’ Now Facing Wave of Calls To Be…

Jessica Tarlov, a Democratic strategist and co-host of The Five, is facing intense backlash over remarks made during a Fox News appearance earlier this week. While discussing the 2024 presidential election between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Tarlov stated, “This is the chance to put the final nail in the coffin so that you don’t have Donald Trump on the ballot again.” Critics on social media labeled the comment as dangerous rhetoric, arguing it could incite violence, particularly given that Trump has been the target of at least two assassination attempts within a 60-day period. Additionally, a California sheriff claimed deputies thwarted a third alleged attempt at Trump’s rally in Coachella, California. Many on the political right believe sustained vilification by left-wing politicians and media figures has contributed to these threats.

Numerous users on X condemned Tarlov’s remarks. An account named Common Sense Custodian called the language “absolutely UNACCEPTABLE” and demanded her firing. Another user, Mark Ivey, questioned why Fox News continues to feature her on The Five. Other responses included accusations that she drove viewers away from the network, claims that her comments were vile, and calls for her dismissal or counseling, with critics saying the perceived violent innuendo was off-putting. Several commenters stated they no longer watch Fox News because of her presence.

Trump has blamed President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris for the attempts on his life, arguing that rhetoric portraying him as a threat to democracy motivated attackers. According to The Associated Press, Trump views the incidents as politically motivated. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has also alleged that federal authorities are obstructing the state’s investigation into the most recent attempt, claiming investigators were rebuffed when trying to access areas near Trump International Golf Club, raising concerns about federal cooperation.
