Alan Dershowitz said he wants permission to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein but claims federal judges have sealed the materials. Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, he addressed the court directly, insisting he should be allowed to provide the documents to Morgan and arguing they would reveal crucial information. Mike Nellis, a former advisor to Kamala Harris appearing earlier in the show, countered that the files in Dershowitz’s possession represent only a small fraction of the full Epstein archive, which the Justice Department and White House could release at any time. Dershowitz rejected that, insisting judicial orders — not the administration — are blocking transparency.
The debate follows the publication of new Epstein-related emails and more than 20,000 pages of estate records released by the House Oversight Committee. Some of the emails include Epstein’s comments about Donald Trump, suggesting Trump visited his home multiple times but “never got a massage.” The White House accused Democrats of selectively leaking material to damage Trump politically. Dershowitz maintained that the core issue remains the federal judges who have sealed depositions he says would reveal the fullest picture.
House Speaker Mike Johnson said Congress is already moving to release additional Epstein files and dismissed claims that Trump is implicated. He argued Democrats are weaponizing the issue for political gain and announced that a vote will likely occur this week to advance the release of further documents, calling the ongoing dispute over a discharge petition “moot.”
